Eastside Early Learning

About Us

Holistic, innovative, integrated child care & early education

Your child's early years are the time when the foundations are laid for their educational and socialising skills - the key to reaching their full potential and successfully taking on the challenges of the world that awaits them.

At Eastside Early Learning we are passionate about helping children become ready for the wider world.  Through our play-based programs, we are committed to providing individual and group experiences designed to enhance, extend and challenge your child's thinking and learning.

Our holistic and integrated approach ensures our early learning services are specifically tailored to your child's and your family's needs.  Our Kindergarten Program is Queensland Government approved and we are proud to employ a fully qualified early childhood teacher to deliver this service.

Our Philosophy

We are passionate about providing our children with better foundations for a brighter future.

At Eastside we create an environment that is warm, welcoming and supportive, we promote resilience and give a sense of belonging while building trusting relationships.  These relationships are the foundation of who we are.  This is reflected in our daily interactions with children, families and the community and is visible throughout our planning and documentation.  We believe in acknowledging and supporting all children and their families cultural and language background, respectfully giving each child equity in their learning opportunities.

We believe that families know their children best.  We truly value their input and welcome them to become a part of all facets of our service.  We recognise them as the child’s first teachers and respect their opinions, suggestions and values in and around their child’s learning journey.

A high value is placed on the environment being the ‘third teacher’, we strive to provide a wide range of meaningful, play based experiences within all learning environments to foster the child’s development across all areas promoting capable and competent learners. The environment is designed to encapsulate children’s sense of wonder, interest and natural curiosity attempting to pave the way for an exploratory understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Children are encouraged to make their own choices by providing them with open-ended resources and experiences; this supports each child’s holistic requirements in a nurturing environment that fosters the child’s development across all areas.

We recognise areas of growth, development and learning opportunities within the environment, in supporting this, our educators are consistently researching up to date practices in Early Childhood Education ensuring they are well equipped with the tools to create and deliver the highest quality programs for each child.

Our Talented Team

We pride ourselves on employing teachers and educators not only for their qualifications, but for their professional, positive, enthusiastic, engaging and caring disposition with children. We employ educators and teachers who are qualified or are studying towards a qualification. All staff have a current first aid certificate, current CPR plus current asthma and anaphylaxis training. Each staff member also has personal medicals, is immunised and must hold a current suitability card (current positive notice blue card for child related employment).
