The Federal Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS) - from 01 July 2019

The level of CCS you will receive, and the number of hours each fortnight, depends on your circumstances. There are three criteria:
•    Your family’s income
•    Hours of ‘recognised’ activity you and your partner do
•    The “hourly rate cap” based on the type of approved childcare and your child’s age

The amount of Child Care Subsidy you can get depends on your circumstances. Centrelink helps families understand how much they can get, based on their individual circumstances.

This Department of Education and Training fact sheet outlines adjustments to Child Care Subsidy rates that take effect on 1 July 2019.

Parents should ensure they have a MyGov account set up as this will be important in authorising Enrolments and allowing the Child Care Subsidy to flow through.
